Hamilton vs Glenzie
Glenzie lose to strong Hamilton team
Glenzie had a tough afternoon at Hamilton on Sunday, against a powerful and skilful opposition who are sitting unbeaten at the top of the league. The home side opened their account and followed up within 5 minutes, taking advantage of space on the left to break through and score twice. Glenzie then put together their best move of the day moving the ball skilfully through the hands with Don producing an excellent dummy to cut through and finish under the posts, converted by Ross. Glenzie played some good rugby and defended strongly against the relentless Hamilton attack but with Ross yellow carded the pressure mounted and so did the Hamilton tally. Half time 27-7. The second half was more of the same and with a growing injury list Glenzie struggled to contain their physical and organised hosts. The final score was 61-7 but Glenzie showed spirit and aggression which will serve them well in next week’s fixture at home against East Kilbride.
